the truth is it is hard for humans to express what they want to. we can barely even express our thoughts into words! the ability to look at something, then think of how to express it, and then get ur hands to carry out the plans is a beautiful thing. it's the closest thing (besides nature) i can see being a gift from god. i took a class on art philosophy and it got all muddled and confused. all these perfectly smart men talking in circles about whether the color blue is objectively beautiful or not! (not that exactly but you understand what i mean) a lot of the time i found myself getting angry and bored. i would think to these dead philosophers, "youre missing the point! its art! its all beautiful!" then i would have to take a step back and realize that i had just thought something that was infinitely less meaningful than what they were saying in the first place. (it is hard to make a meaningful statement on art sorry for dissing u ADORNO) but maybe i was mad because they felt like they had to make a statement on it at all? maybe there was nothing else for them to do, or maybe philosophizing on art was a fun side activity, but who knows. anyway all of this is just to say i think art is a really good thing, and i think people who create it are really good people
