The Mask of Truth

'Bocca della Verità / The Mouth of Truth' is an ancient stone mask that can judge a person’s honesty when they put their hand in his mouth. Located just outside the doors of the Paleochristian church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, at the foot of the Aventine Hills, Italy.
